| Pour ceux qui ne le savent pas, le karaté n'est toujours pas un sport olympique.
J'ai donc décider de faire une pétition qui est en train de faire sa route a travers le monde pour laisser savoir aux gens du CIO que la communauté mondiale du Karaté et ces sympatisants, ne baisseront jamais les bras par rapport à ce dossier.
Le karaté est plus populaire que le judo et le tae kwon do dans le monde mais contrairement à ces cousins il n est pas admis comme Sport Olympique pour des raisons financières et de politiques entre autres!
Karaté - 895.100

Nouveaux sports…
Le baseball et le softball n'ayant pas été retenus pour les Jeux Olympiques de 2012, les membres du CIO ont voté pour l'ajout de deux nouveaux sports au programme olympique, puisque ce dernier peut en comporter jusqu'à 28.
Cinq sports non olympiques - roller, squash, golf, karaté et rugby à sept - ont été examinés par la commission du programme olympique lors de son étude.
Sur ces cinq sports, les membres du CIO en ont retenu deux- le squash et le karaté .
Toutefois, pour que ce choix soit entériné, à savoir qu'un sport non olympique devienne sport olympique et figure donc en tant que tel dans la Charte olympique à la Règle 46, la majorité des 2/3 de la Session est requise.
Or, ni le squash ni le karaté n'ont obtenu cette majorité.
Ils n'ont donc pas été admis au programme des Jeux Olympiques de 2012 à Londres.

Le karaté fait encore partie des sports susceptibles d'être admis au programme olympique pour 2016. Il ne faut pas baisser les bras!!! Aidez nous! Aidons nous!

I’m running an international petition aimed at the IOC to show them that the world wide karate community has not given up on the Olympics and we never will!!!
And you can be sure that it will get there because even if it seems like a jug of water in the ocean, i personally know some people in the IOC(a sibling).

, But unlike its martial arts siblings, it is not an Olympic sport.
However all that may change at the 117th IOC Session in Singapore.
The Olympic Karate Movement brought us a democratic structure that governs the international and national federations. As in any other democratic entity, all members must actively join in the decision-making process. If we fail to act now, we all must share the responsibility of failure again!!!

Taekwondo which made its first appearance in the 2000 Sydney Games, has been under pressure to make reforms due to cases of impartial biasness and judging criteria.
It will be represented in the 2008 Beijing Olympics but its place in the 2016 Games is not guaranteed.
Choose the right way to promote the sport while preserving its traditional honor, spirit ,integrity and sportsmanship values!
